A&J Designs
Accessibility Statement
A&J Designs wants its website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.
Our commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard widely referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work to improve the site over time.
Measures we take
- A "Skip to content" link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
- A page language set for assistive technology, and a logical heading structure.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative illustrations are hidden from screen readers.
- A keyboard-operable menu that exposes its open or closed state and closes with the Escape key.
- Visible focus styles and attention to color contrast and readable text sizing.
- Re-checking accessibility when we make significant changes to the site.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. We are not aware of significant barriers at this time, and we review the site periodically. If you find something that does not work for you, please tell us so we can fix it.
A note on accessibility overlays
This site does not use an accessibility overlay or widget. Such tools are supplemental at best and are not a substitute for building the site to conform with WCAG.
